I hear an army charging upon the land

And the thunder of horses plunging, foam about their knees.

Arrogant, in black armour, behind them stand,

Disdaining the reins, with fluttering whips, the chariotteers.

They cry unto the night their battlename:

I moan in sleep when I hear afar their whirling laughter.

They cleave the gloom of dreams, a blinding flame,

Clanging, clanging upon the heart as upon an anvil.

They come shaking in triumph their long green hair:

They come out of the sea and run shouting by the shore.

Sento un exèrcit embestint la terra

i el retronar dels cavalls capbussant-se, l’escuma fins els seus genolls.

Arrogants, amb armadures negres, darrere d’ells es drecen,

menyspreant les regnes, amb flagells onejants, els aurigues.

Eixorden la nit els seus noms de guerra:

 jo gemego adormit quan sento el llunyà remolí del seu riure.

Esquincen la penombra dels somnis, flama enlluernadora,

retronant, retronant sobre el cor com sobre d’una enclusa.

Vénen agitant en triomf els seus llargs cabells verds;

surten del mar i corren cridant per la vora.

Cor meu, ¿no tens prou seny per no desesperar-te?

Amor meu, amor meu, amor meu, ¿per què m’has deixat sol?

          Ara que per tot arreu sembla que hi torna a haver massa gent diposada a deixar-se portar per l’irracionalisme simpàtic dels fonamentalismes patriòtics, essencialistes, identitaris, religiosos… rebo unes imatges oportunes, precises, punyents, i sobretot, tendres i profundament humanes (que vol dir adreçades i relacionades amb homes i dones de carn i sang, persones reals, subjectes de fet i dret… i no pas amb ideals, pancartes, banderes, creences…).      [De les imatges en tinc notícia per la Rosa Vila.
